My musical background composing, arranging and studying traditional jazz led to solo guitar-playing techniques that use a combination of bass lines, chords and melodies - creating the illusion of an ensemble. This style is (to me) the ultimate guitar music, since it includes improvisation, music theory and a knowledge of guitar pioneers throughout the years - Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Emily Remler, Freddie Green, Django Reinhardt and the list goes on. Learning about the history of jazz is a great way to understand the music, the people who contributed to it as an art form and how it evolved over the years.

My recent relocation to NE Ohio has brought new opportunities for me to perform for new audiences at new locations and venues, while I'm also hirable for private events.
